The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair is a
not-for-profit, international training organization founded in
1979. Their mission is to research, develop and deliver quality
technical educational programs related to collision repair; to
raise the level of available knowledge and recognize professional
achievement; and thereby improve communication throughout the
Collision Repair, Insurance, and related Industries, for the
ultimate benefit of the consumer.
I-CAR has a strong representation
from:
Auto collision repair businesses and their trade associations
insurance companies and their associations Domestic and import
vehicle makers, tool, equipment, and supply manufacturers and
their associations. Providers of technical education, training
and research.Suppliers of related industry services, such as
independent appraisers, technical publishers and recyclers.
The I-CAR Mission
They fulfill their mission by:
Efficiently producing, marketing and delivering cost-effective
training and related educational materials.Expanding their
leadership position, as measured by the number of participants,
sales of related materials and their ability to fund future
opportunities.Providing outstanding value and service through the
delivery of relevant and timely products that exceed the
expectations of their customers.Setting the standard for
information relating to the collision repair process and sharing
it will all interested parties. Entirely financing their growth
and renewal with income generated from ongoing activities.
Who teaches I-CAR classes?
I-CAR is a volunteer organization. Volunteer committees organize,
promote and schedule classes throughout the United States,
Canada, New Zealand,Bermuda, and the Caribbean. I-CAR Instructors
have extensive hands-on experience in a number of disciplines.
They are specially trained and certified to assure quality
delivery in the classroom. These instructors teach part-time for
I-CAR and hold full-time jobs as technical school and college
instructors, collision repair business owners and technicians,
insurance claims personnel, and suppliers to the industry.
